Home Staff is there when you need it
Published in the Weekly Record on Friday, November 22, 2002

Those with elderly parents know firsthand what issues they are currently facing in caring for their parents. Questions like:

  • How long can he/she stay on his/her own?
  • Where will he/she go?
  • What can we afford?
  • What resources are available?
  • What will happen to his/her assets?
  • Will he/she have to move in with us?

And if the parent lives a long distance away, the problems are compounded.

One solution to some of these problems is provided through home healthcare agencies. Recently, Home Staff, in business in Massachusetts since 1977, opened a satellite office in Westboro.

"Home Staff is dedicated to a circle of caring," President Nancy Stassi said. "We strive as an organization to seek the most qualified professionals and para-professionals, to deliver the highest quality of care to our clients. We set high standards and pursue excellence, as we work to improve the quality of life for each and every client."

Home Staff conducts a free initial home care evaluation, to assess the client’s needs and coordinates those needs with his or her physician and family.

"This comprehensive and personalized evaluation assists us in determining the necessary level of care, to ensure the comfort and well-being of our clients," Nancy Stassi said.

Services at Home Staff are available for the elderly, the disabled, and for those in rehabilitation from injury or medical treatment.

At Home Staff, the initial evaluation and coordination with family and physicians is designed to assure that the clients receive the appropriate level of service. These specialized services may include homemaking, personal care, such as assistance with bathing and personal grooming, heavier household cleaning, or companionship services.

Also available, are certified services which would include care by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. All Home Staff employees are bonded and covered by liability insurance, as well as workers compensation and unemployment insurance. Training is available to employees of Home Staff at their home office in Worcester.

Besides the new office at 18 Lyman Street in Westboro, Home Staff has office in Worcester, Leominster, West Springfield, and Centerville on Cape Cod.
