Amidst the Frequency of Elder Abuse Scandals in the News, a Local Home Healthcare Agency is Honored an Ethics Award by the Better Business Bureau.

Worcester, MA, August 3, 2006 – As analysts focus on the effects Baby Boomers will have on the economy as they enter the "Graying of America", our nation’s elder care options have been targeted for scrutiny. The media recently has been flooded with negative reports involving elder abuse and fraud scandals. Despite these unfortunate events, a local home healthcare agency has been honored with the Better Business Bureau’s honorable mention Torch Award for ethical practices.

On May 18^th, 2006 the Central Mass Better Business Bureau decided that two companies were eligible for their first issued honorable mention Torch Award. As one of the recipient's, Home Staff was especially honored since they are members of the geriatric health care provider community. At the ceremony hosted at Worcester’s Crowne Plaza, the recipient, Nancy Stassi (owner and president) was recognized for operating her business under strict ethical standards and providing quality care to the community.
